Karnataka tourism to be scaled up

Bangalore, Dec 21 (KNN) Karnataka which has been ranked as the fifth most popular state in the country for tourism has plans to further scale up operations.

The state department of tourism has taken up projects in joint venture with the Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited- Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Service Limited (KSIIDC-IL&FS).

It will soon be appointing a consultant as Tourism Promotion and Marketing advisor under the project.

Towards this, the government has invited bids from different entities to be service provider.

KSIIDC has been greatly instrumental in the industrialisation of the State, especially in the large and medium sector. 

IL&FS is one of the country’s leading infrastructure development and finance companies.  It has focussed on the commercialisation and development of infrastructure projects and creation of value added financial services.  (KNN/ST)
