Madikeri, Dec 6 (KNN) With the aim to promote Coorg coffee, the Kodagu district administration is organising a “Coorg Coffee Festival and Expo” at Raja Seat in Madikeri on December 10-11, 2022.

The primary aim of the expo is to bring all the stakeholders in the coffee industry under one umbrella and to promote the Coorg coffee not just amongst the locals but also the tourists visiting Kodagu from different parts of the world.

With support from the district Horticulture Department and Coffee Board, the two-day event will open up knowledge about coffee brewing and the authenticity of coffee.

As per reports, several value-added coffee products will be exhibited even as private entities from across the nation involved in Coffee Value Chain will find space at the expo. The charges for setting up a stall spread across 100 sq. ft have been fixed at Rs 5,000, while the entire pagoda tent will cost Rs 15,000.

“Knowledge on authentic coffee, buying opportunities and information on value addition of Chicory and other details will be shared at the expo. This initiative mainly aims at promoting Kodagu coffee and the coffee culture. The event will be organized across the vast area of Greater Raja Seat,” confirmed Deputy Commissioner of Kodagu BC Sateesha at the press conference.

A promotional video launch was hosted at the Coffee Board office in Madikeri on Monday and the video will be shared across social media platforms to ensure large participation.  (KNN Bureau)
