Karnataka MSMEs expect newly elected CM Siddaramaiah to resolve stalling issues

Bengaluru, May 19 (KNN) Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) has expressed high expectations from the new Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and to respond positively to the grievances of MSMEs.

Appreciating his administrative skills, K.N. Narasimha Murthy, President, KASSIA said, under CM Siddaramaiah's leadership the State will be in good stead in the coming days

"With a massive mandate from the people of Karnataka, you have the blessings of nearly 7 crore Kannadigas and we are confident that you will be able to tide over the challenges ahead," he said.

Murthy said that it is indisputable that the state of infrastructure in terms of roads and chaotic traffic, and high prices and inflation was a major tipping point for the people and they have reposed faith in you and see you as the harbinger of change.

He further observed and noted that, "For the industry at large, there are many thorny issues that remain unresolved such as for example high tariff for power and property tax, absence of even basic infrastructure in private industrial estates and in some government-run industrial estates of the KSSIDC and KIADB, high consent fee charged by KSPCB, among other issues."

The chief lamented that micro and small scale industries are going through a lot of hardship due to various challenges on multiple fronts on account of local and global issues.

"We are hopeful that your new Government will respond positively to our grievances," he added.   (KNN Bureau)
