Kasaragod district panchayat to impart employability skills to women under ASAP prog

Kasaragod, Oct 14 (KNN) The Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) Kerala in association with Kasaragod district panchayat is offering three skill development course to women who are facing difficulty in finding jobs due to education gaps after plus two.

The programme will offer certificate courses in accounting technician, artisanal bakery, and community mobiliser.

The project has been launched for 250 women who have been divided into eight batches. They are undergoing training at the skill development centres at Cheruvathur, Hosdurg and Kasaragod.

On the completion of the course, certificate will be provided by Sree Narayana Guru Open University.

As per reports, Kasaragod district panchayat is the organising and funding partner while ASAP Kerala is the skill development partner and will offer industry-relevant courses.

The initiative will soon be scaled up to accommodate 500 candidates.  (KNN Bureau)
