KASSAI upbeat on state budget announcements for setting up industrial corridor and parks for Bulk drugs, Food, Textiles & Plastics in Karnataka
Bengaluru, Mar 9 (KNN) Terming the state budget as a well-balanced one, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) welcomed the Chief Minister’s announcement on providing a loan up to Rs 2 crore at 4 per cent interest for women entrepreneurs.
''By providing special scheme for women aims at all round development of Women entrepreneurs, KASSIA welcomes this gesture along with loan upto Rs 2 crores at 4 per cent for women entrepreneurs,'' KASSIA said
It further said that the purchase of land directly by Industries from the farmers definitely will help in all-round development of industries in rural areas.
KASSIA also extended special thanks to Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa for granting the long pending demand of Peenya Industrial Township and earmarking Rs 100 crores for its development and Karasamadhan scheme which provides for 100 per cent waiver of interest and penalties.
The industry body also welcomed agricultural implements production clusters in Bidar announcing a special incentive package on the lines of already established clusters.
''Budget provides encouragement to the industries by emphasizing Chennai-Bangalore-Mumbai corridor which helps development of industries. The announcement of bulk drug park at Yadgir, Food Park at Vijayapura, Textile Park at Badami, Plastic park at Mangalore encourages industrial development all round Karnataka,'' KASSIA added.
Hailing the state budget, KASSIA further asserted that this budget facilitates balanced development in Agriculture, Education, Health and social sectors.
