KASSIA bridging gap between MSME workers and Labour Dept through interactive session

Bangalore, Jan 27 (KNN) With a view to counter the problems being faced by the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) workers, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) is today organizing an ‘Awareness Programme and Interactive Meeting’ with the State Labour Department, ESI Department and PF Department officials.

While talking to KNN, General Secretary of KASSIA B Praveen said that an awareness program cum interactive meeting is being organized concerning the problems of the workers in MSMEs.

“Interaction meeting will be organized with a view to counter the problem, being generated with the latest amendments on ESI, PF, Labour Acts and Factories & Boilers Department,” added Praveen.

He also told KNN that association likely to create helpdesk for the queries to the related issues such as ESI, PF etc.

“We look to create a permanent helpdesk to handhold all the queries pertaining to these issues for the workers”, added B.Praveen.

The programme is scheduled to be held at KASSIA Auditorium.

Sanjeev Kumar, IAS., Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Department, Government of Karnataka will inaugurate the programme. (KNN)
