KASSIA holds workshop on Atmanirbhar Bharat & Industry 4.0 in partnership with MSME-DI, Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Mar 26 (KNN) Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) organised a workshop on Atmanirbhar Bharat & Industry 4.0 to discuss its impact on MSME in association with MSME Development Institute, Bengaluru.

Speaking at the event on Friday, Devaraj K, Joint Director, Br. MSME-DI, Mangaluru, mentioned about the purpose of organizing the event and how the government has implemented NLAP, “SAMBHAV” amongst students, where, around 1 Lakh students in 1300 colleges were benefitted.  

Ministry of MSME had organized an expedition programme in the Northern region of India, to create awareness for the benefit of MSMEs, he stated.

Nagahanumaiah, Director, CMTI, Bengaluru was the chief guest of the event who opined that parameters like Responsiveness, Innovation, Cost factor, in addition to Product, Process will help in the process of achieving the goal of self reliance.

He concluded by reiterating on the factors of Made for India, Make in India and further to expand on the Originated in India.  

Appreciating the efforts of MSME-DI in organizing such programme, Sreevatsan .M.  Zonal General Manager, NSIC stated that, NSIC, keeping in view the importance of digitalization, has signed MOUs with various organizations to enable expansion of connectivity of MSMEs, market information and enhance the global market. 

Acknowledging the importance of Food Industry, G.R. Akadas, Director, MSME-DI, Bengaluru said digitisation is important for Self Reliance which has enabled India to face the present war situation with great dignity and pride.
