Kerala B2B Meet concludes with 100 crores business

New Delhi, Mar 2 (KNN) Inaugurated by the Chief Minister Oommen Chandy the three day Kerala Business to Business Meet 2015 ended on a positive note with more than 100 crore business for SMEs.
 
The event was organised by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Kerala at Kochi and was attended by more than 300 buyers including 70 from abroad.
 
The 150 manufacturers and traders who participated in the meet were from sectors like Food Processing, Ayurveda, handlooms, Textiles, rubber, furniture, electrical and electronics etc.
Organisers mentioned that more than 5000 buyer-seller meetings were held during the three days and the business estimate will grow even further with more than Rs 150 crore worth enquiries in advanced stages of discussion.

Seeing the overwhelming response of the participants, the department of industries has promised to make the event annual henceforth.
 
Earlier during the inauguration the chief minister said the government will take specific steps to promote industries in the micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSME)  including relaxing procedures for them to do business.

“We shall invite suggestions from entrepreneurs for this,” he said. (KNN/VV)
