Kerala Launches India International Industrial Expo 2024 To Support Manufacturing Growth

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 16 (KNN) In a robust demonstration of commitment to industrial growth, Kerala's government has unveiled the India International Industrial Expo 2024, positioning the state as a potential catalyst for manufacturing sector transformation.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, speaking at the event's inauguration, emphasised the critical need for the manufacturing sector to experience a growth trajectory similar to emerging commercial and service domains.

The expansive three-day expo, organised by the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) and Metro Mart at the KINFRA International Exhibition Centre in Kochi, represents a significant milestone in the state's industrial development strategy.

Featuring 300 stalls and bringing together over 300 prominent machinery manufacturers from across India and internationally, the event provides a comprehensive platform for technological showcase and entrepreneurial networking.

Industries Minister P Rajeev lauded KSSIA's pivotal role in driving industrial sector change and announced plans for a new convention centre near the exhibition venue.

The minister's announcement underscores the government's sustained commitment to infrastructure development and industrial ecosystem enhancement.

A Nizarudeen, State President, KSSIA, highlighted the expo's broader objectives, describing it as a vibrant platform for fostering industrial growth and entrepreneurship.

The association has already set its sights on the second edition, scheduled for January 2026, signalling long-term strategic planning.

Beyond product exhibitions, the event offers distinctive networking opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Dedicated help desks from various banks will provide crucial financial assistance, enabling potential industrialists to explore venture initiation and expansion opportunities. This comprehensive approach reflects a holistic strategy to support emerging industrial entrepreneurs.

Organised in collaboration with the Kerala Government's Department of Industries, KINFRA, KSIDC, and the Central MSME Ministry, the expo represents a concerted effort to revitalise and propel the manufacturing sector forward, marking a significant moment in Kerala's industrial narrative.
