Kerala MP Eden calls out govt for not providing aid to MSMEs hit by covid-19 pandemic

New Delhi, Feb 3 (KNN) The small-scale industries, MSME sectors and the tourism industry in the country have been drastically impacted due to Covid-19 pandemic, however the government has not provided any relief, Hibi Eden, Member of Parliament from Ernakulam (Kerala) constituency told the Lok Sabha.

“The moratorium is not in place for the people who had taken loans for these small-scale industries, MSMEs and for many other industrial purposes which affected the mental health of people,” added MP Eden.

He said there was no concrete plan to either strengthen the economy of this country or to address the issues faced by the common man during the last two years of Covid-19.

Commenting on building a strong foundation for the next 25 years said by the Preseident, MP Eden said the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ is a very important and creative project of the Central Government, but unfortunately the source of water for the Har Ghar Jal Project is not enough to supply ample quantity of water.

“If there is no source, I do not think that ‘Har Ghar Jal’ Project of the Jal Jeeval Mission would be a success,” he stated.

He claimed that the GDP growth in year 2019-20 was 3.71 per cent not because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation but because of the continuous mismanagement of the economy which started right from demonetisation to GST, petroleum tax and the fuel price hike etc. (KNN Bureau)
