Kerala to set up 1 lakh MSMEs; attracts non-resident entrepreneurs with low interest loan

New Delhi, Jan 22 (KNN) The Industry Minister of Kerala, P Rajeeve has announced that 1 lakh MSMEs will be established in 2022.

This announcement was made during a meeting of the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) department on Friday.

Kerala will celebrate this year as the Year of Entrepreneurs, stated Industry minister Rajeeve.

“Our aim is to promote entrepreneurship in the state and encouraging small and medium businesses,” he added.

NORKA Chairman P Sreeramakrishnan was also present at the meeting and announced low interest loan scheme for Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) entrepreneurs.

This scheme is undertaken by the Kerala Bank and the State-level Bankers Committee.

With the support of industry and NORKA departments, about 3,500 MSMEs have been established by the NRI entrepreneurs.
