Kochi to host Women Startup Summit

Thiruvananthapuram, July 31 (KNN) For the aspiring women entrepreneurs from across the country, the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) will host ‘Women Startup Summit’ on August 1 in Kochi.

The conference will help provide expert tips and address their under-representation in running businesses in the field of science and technology.

This summit is being hosted in association with the Indian Women Network under the Confederation of Indian Industries.

It will bring together the women leaders, startup founders, policymakers and aspiring women entrepreneurs in one platform to share their experiences, aspirations and success stories.

The theme, ‘Developing an Inclusive Entrepreneurship Ecosystem’ will feature the inspiring visionaries whose innovative efforts are changing the world. The program will be followed by panel discussions, conversations between female leaders. Inspiring leaders will be from technology, business, media, and entertainment fields. In addition to this, one-on-one interactions will be done which will be open for all women attendees and participants.

CEO of KSUM, Dr. Saji Gopinath will address the inaugural session. The inaugural address will be delivered by the Kerala State Planning Board member, Dr. Mridul Eapen. Founding partner of Taj Ventures, Virginia Tan will deliver the keynote speech.

Announcement of National Grand Challenge winner of ‘She Loves Tech India 2019’ will be done and winner will be honored. Two other nominations for the best inclusive workplace will be incubators (of women startups) and for startups (with female employees).
