The sale would be made on ‘as is where is basis.’  However market experts wonder who would buy fire-damaged goods.

KSHDC seeks buyers on behalf of insurance surveyor P S Ramanathan for sale of sandalwood carvings, rosewood inlayed items, perfumery, metal-brass, metal-bidri, bronze, lacquerware and toys, paintings, leather ware, batiks, silk sarees and gems and jewellery, said an official notification.

Significantly, an officer from the emporium told KNN that many of the handicraft items were packaged remarkably well and suffered no damage.  Hence the items being sold are of good quality.
