Large number of SMEs of Japan keenly interested to invest in India: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

New Delhi, Oct 1 (KNN) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is currently in Tokyo, said that a large number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of Japan are keen to invest in India.

Chouhan, in the micro-blogging site twitter, wrote, “Met Deputy Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Taro Aso in Tokyo today and invited him to Global Investors Summit -2016”.
 
“Deputy Prime Minister happily informed that a large number of Small & Medium enterprises of Japan are keenly interested to invest in India,” he added.
 
He further said that Aso also extended invitation for greater cooperation between Japan & India, so that bilateral trade reaches optimum level.
 
CM Chouhan today met Yoshio Okuno, Executive VP of Fuji Electric to discuss avenues of co-operation.
 
''We have invited Fuji Electric to collaborate in electrical manufacturing sector too & provide technology for smart cities,'' Chouhan tweeted.
 
The MP CM addressed the 40th joint meeting of India-Japan Business Cooperation Committee (IJBCC) in Tokyo today during which he invited investors and people of Japan to Madhya Pradesh.
 
CM informed top officials of NIDEC Corporation that special cluster for investors of Japan will be established in Pithampur.
 
Chouhan said that he had a fruitful meeting with top management of electronic manufacturer NIDEC Corporation.

The CM had meeting with top officials of Furukawa Electric to discuss investment in cable manufacturing.
 
Furukawa Electric officials informed CM that the company is planning to do feasibility studies for producing joint cables in MP. (KNN Bureau)
