Ludhiana Chamber explores opportunities for MSMEs in export with ICICI

Ludhiana, Oct 7 (KNN) Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) in association with ICICI Bank Ltd. organised a Panel Discussion on "Opportunities for SMEs" in Export Market at Park Plaza, Ludhiana

Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU mentioned that there is a competition within the Countries and from the other Asian Countries like Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, those use to be net importing Countries. So Indian has to be fittest in term of Quality, Productivity, Cost and Delivery to compete the Market.

To beat the Competition India is having good scope for next 10 years as most European and American Countries are realigning their supply chain.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU coordinated the panel discussion and briefed about the potential of Exports both in manufacturing as well as in services from the region.

The eminent panelists were Suvidh Shah, ITS, Joint DGFT, Ludhiana, Ambrish Jain, MD, Kangaroo Group, Vishal Batra, Retail Head (North), ICICI Bank Ltd., Amit Thapar, President, Ganga Acrowool Ltd. and Sarvjit Singh, Proprietor, Man International.

The panelists briefed about the challenges being faced by Exporters, Compliances to be followed, need of ensuring best Quality & Services and Opportunities for exports from India in the present circumstances.

Team officials from ICICI Bank gave presentation on the best services being offered by ICICI Bank to Exporters and Importers.

The meeting was attended by more than 150 Exporters and Importers. S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, Gautam Malhotra, V.P, Didarjeet Singh, Kanish Kaura, Charanjiv Singh from Knitwear Club, Baldev Singh Amar from PSAIMA, Amarjeet Singh from Sewing Machine Industries Association and other prominent members were present.
