Bangalore, Sept 30 (KNN) The Machohalli Small Scale Industries Association have declared protest on 1 October at 11:30 am in front of Tavarekere BESCOM Office against the severe power shortage in the areas of rural Bangalore, Machohalli and surrounding areas impeding MSME units.

Huge loss has been incurred when unscheduled and power cuts and sometimes no power has created issues as majority of the units are process oriented production.

The Association has stated that power problems has been chronicle in this area since a decade although more than 1500 production units, generating more than 25000 employments are located in the vicinity.

“We are unable to get the solution despite of our earnest efforts to convince and convey our problems to the top official of Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM).

It is to note that Karnataka contributes 3.8 percent of MSMEs at a national level.
