Madhya Pradesh: DRM inaugurates handicraft kiosk at Jabalpur Railway Station

Jabalpur, July 6 (KNN) Under the one station-one product rail scheme of the government, the Divisional Rail Manager, Sanjay Biswas inaugurated the handicraft stall at Jabalpur Railway Station on Monday.

The booth is being setup by the Asmita Chourasia, a registered jute bag manufacturer with the support of Sant Ravidas Madhya Pradesh Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation.

Under the central government’s scheme, the railway station will allot the stall to the artisan for 15 days only.

On the occasion, ADRM, Deepak Kumar Gupta, Senior DCM, Vishwa Ranjan, DCM, Sunil Shrivastava, Devesh Soni, Senior Divisional Financial Manager, Abhiram Khare visited the stall and checked-out the quality of jute bags and other products.

Areca nuts (supari) and bamboo products stalls are also being setup at the Rewa and Piparia railway station.

One Station One Product scheme aims to encourage indigenous and specialised products and crafts of the nation through providing display and sale outlets at railway stations across the country.  (KNN Bureau)
