Speaking about the development plans, Manish Singh, principal secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department said, “In the development of the mega textile park, we will look at international and national examples and see what has worked and what has not worked. We will adapt the model as per our requirements.”

“Major demand of local industries of MP is manpower and in textile a lot of women workforce is required for which we plan to develop dormitories in the industrial area because daily commute will not be comfortable for everyone,” he said.

As per reports, the Dhar textile park will have plug and play facilities, training centre, logistics, commercial space, health services apart from basic and advanced industry requirements.

“Industries in the textile sector have shown strong intentions to set up their units in the mega textile park,” he said.

Dinesh Patidar, Chairman, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry Madhya Pradesh said, “Dhar Park will play an important role in the already existing supremacy of MP in the Textile sector. This park will play a pivotal role not only in creating employment but also boosting entrepreneurship in the state. The scheme also aims to boost exports by strengthening the competitiveness of the textile sector.”  (KNN Bureau)
