Madhya Pradesh Forge Ties With Bilateral Chambers To Market ODOP and GI Products
Indore, Mar 12 (KNN) In a significant move to promote One District One Product (ODOP) and Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged products on global platforms, the Madhya Pradesh government has signed agreements with international trade bodies during the recently concluded Global Investors Summit.
The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with key international trade organisations, including the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI), Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC), Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce & Industries (IPCCI), Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK), Germany India Innovation Centre (GIIC), and India-Djibouti Chamber of Commerce (IDCC).
These agreements aim to integrate the state's ODOP and GI-tagged products into the global supply chain, providing wider market access and economic opportunities for local artisans and businesses.
SICCI has pledged support for global marketing efforts, business expansion, and investment initiatives to promote locally manufactured products.
Similarly, the German Chamber of Commerce seeks to bolster SME linkages and drive technological innovation. The agreement with the Polish chamber focuses on fostering sector-specific business collaborations and joint ventures.
Further strengthening international ties, MPIDC has formalized an agreement with Russia's Ulyanovsk Region to enhance industrial cooperation, technology exchange, and trade facilitation.
The Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea has also partnered with MPIDC to develop industrial townships, expand bilateral trade, and boost business networking.
Meanwhile, GIIC will collaborate on digital innovation, automation, and Industry 4.0 advancements. The India-Djibouti Chamber has agreed to facilitate knowledge transfer in logistics, renewable energy, and trade corridor development.
These strategic partnerships mark a major step in positioning Madhya Pradesh's unique and heritage-rich products on the global stage, ensuring sustained industrial growth and economic synergy.
