MATEXIL Seminar In Indore To Explore Export Potential Of MP’s Textile Sector

New Delhi, May 15 (KNN) The Manmade and Technical Textiles Export Promotion Council (MATEXIL) will conduct a seminar in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on Friday, with support from the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC).

MATEXIL serves as the designated Export Promotion Council for Man-Made Fibre Textiles, encompassing Fibre, Yarn, Fabrics, Made-ups (including Home Textiles), and Technical Textiles, representing over 5,000 member companies throughout India.

Shaleen Toshniwal, Chairman, MATEXIL, stated, “The seminar aims to disseminate key information on Capacity Building in Man-Made Fibre Textiles, Home Textiles, and Technical Textiles, and to deliberate on strategies to boost exports from Madhya Pradesh."

According to Toshniwal, Madhya Pradesh possesses significant untapped potential for export growth in blended fabrics, made-ups, apparels, and technical textiles due to its distinctive advantages.

"Madhya Pradesh offers several natural advantages such as the availability of raw materials, skilled manpower, reliable power and water supply, and the emergence of new textile parks,” he explained.

These factors make the state an attractive destination for investment and growth in the textiles sector," Toshniwal added.

The MATEXIL chairman emphasised that the state's rich textile heritage positions it well to become a significant player in both domestic and international markets.

The upcoming seminar will feature presentations from senior state government officials who will outline Madhya Pradesh's textile policies and various support mechanisms for developing the textiles and clothing sector.

Chairman Toshniwal expressed sincere appreciation to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for his steadfast support in bringing this important industry event to fruition.
