Indore, June 16 (KNN) The lease of Malwa and Kalyan mill in Indore have been cancelled and will now be registered at the ownership of the state government.

On Thursday, the Indore district administration cancelled lease of Malwa and Kalyan Mill and released an order to register the same at the ownership of the state government, reported TOI.

Collector of Indore Ilayaraja T wrote that the state government had in 2003 and 2007 issued instructions to sell the lands of national textile mills.

Following the orders, around 15.32 acres of land of Swadeshi Mill could be sold out.

“As the land of Malwa Mill and Kalyan Mill could neither be sold out, nor the plants could be restarted” the order reads, adding that following the state government’s instructions issued in December 2022, the ADM Court held hearings to listen to the cases pertaining to both the mills.

After resolving the issues in two hearings, the court has released an order to cancel the lease of 60.09 acres land of Malwa Mill and 32.04 acres land of Kalyan Mill along with registering its ownership of the state government” the order reads.  (KNN Bureau)
