MP govt to set up startup clinic to mentor entrepreneurs

Indore, May 31 (KNN) Madhya Pradesh government is considering to establish a startup clinic wherein experts will provide mentorship and hand holding to budding entrepreneurs.
Madhya Pradesh Youth Commission chairman Dr Nishant Khare said on Tuesday that the startup clinic will be set up in public–private partnership (PPP) mode, reported TOI.
“We are planning to form a startup clinic on a PPP mode where experts would give voluntary service and mentor startups,” said Khare.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Startup and IT Conclave, he said, “Enterprises stuck at any stage of development may get help from the clinic. We plan to run this as a pilot and if it works well, it will be expanded.”
The Indore Development Authority will act as the nodal agency for the startup clinic, he said.
Khare pointed out that about 90 per cent of the IT/ITES enterprises falter in the initial stages while converting ideas into the detailed project report, fetching seed funding and HR related issues among others.
“This is the stage, these budding enterprises need mentorship and guidance,” he said. (KNN Bureau)
