Palda Industries urge Madhya Pradesh govt for development of basic infra in industrial belt

Indore, May 3 (KNN) Industries in Palda area of Indore have urged the Madhya Pradesh government to construct cemented roads, drainage system and stormwater line in the Industrial belt, reported TOI.

“Industries require an ecosystem to operate and lack of basic amenities hit our growth. Customers hesitate to visit us due to the hassle in coming to our factories. These challenges should be addressed and the government should provide us with basic infrastructure,” he said.

Palda is one of the oldest industrial belts in Indore housing small and medium scale industries such as dal mills, plastic units, auto component makers among others.

Industrialist in the Palda said that the condition gets worse in the rainy season when water floods the road, almost halting the movement of commercial and passenger vehicles, TOI reported.

Industries under the aegis of Association of Industries Madhya Pradesh have written to the civic body to connect pipelines in the Bardari, Jakhya and Kumedi industrial area with a common effluent treatment plant for proper disposal of industrial waste.

The association has also demanded supply of Narmada water in Sanwer road industrial area.  (KNN Bureau)
