PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone Of Logistics Park In Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh

Indore, Oct 3 (KNN) PM Narendra Modi on Monday virtually laid down the foundation stone of Rs 1110.58 crore multi-modal logistic park at Pithampur.

The park would provide direct and indirect employment to over 15 lakh people. It is located near Pithampur Industrial Area, textile and pharma cluster, close to Indore Tihi-Dahod new rail line as well as the proposed Mhow Ring Road.

As per reports, the land for the park will be provided by the state government and the infrastructure development and construction work related to the project will be done by the agency appointed by the Union road and transport ministry.

Out of a total of 112.60 hectares of selected land for setting up the park, 106.8 hectares of land will be used for the park and 5.8 hectares of land will be used for construction of railway siding.

PM Modi also dedicate various projects inducing Indian Oil Corporation bottling plant in Malanpur (Gwalior), Atal Bihari Vajpayee Divyang Sports Training Centre at Gwalior, Ratlam Terminal, integrated Industrial Township Vikram Udyogpuri (Ujjain).

“Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain and the multi-modal logistics park will give a push to the industrial growth of MP,” he said while addressing the gathering.

The industrial area, Vikram Udyogpuri, has attracted an investment of close to Rs 4,200 crore fr0m 39 units of which six industries have become operational while some industries are at a negotiating stage with the state government for making investment.

The PM also inaugurated the academic buildings, student’s hostels under PM-AJAY scheme and the third phase of the institute's infrastructure development at IIT-I.  (KNN Bureau)
