Trident Group To Invest Rs 3,000 Crore In Madhya Pradesh, Creating 3,000 Jobs
Bhopal, Dec 10 (KNN) Trident Group, a prominent textiles manufacturer based in Ludhiana, has unveiled plans to invest Rs 3,000 crore in Madhya Pradesh, potentially creating 3,000 new jobs in the state.
Chairman Rajinder Gupta made the announcement during the Madhya Pradesh Regional Industry Conclave on Monday, highlighting the company's continued expansion and commitment to the region.
The vertically integrated textile firm has been operating in Madhya Pradesh for several years, having previously invested Rs 5,000 crore in the state.
Gupta emphasised the company's global reach, noting that its finished products are currently exported to 122 countries, with demand showing consistent growth.
The upcoming investment is expected to increase Trident Group's workforce from 12,000 to over 15,000 employees.
In his statement, Gupta underscored the company's holistic approach to industrial development.
He emphasised their commitment to local economic integration, from cotton sourcing to final product manufacturing.
The company also highlighted its focus on sustainability and social responsibility, with a particular emphasis on women's empowerment. Notably, 50 percent of the new employment opportunities will be reserved for women.
The investment also aligns with Madhya Pradesh's potential for green energy development.
Gupta praised the state's conducive environment for sustainable industrial growth, particularly in solar and wind energy sectors.
This strategic expansion reflects Trident Group's vision of creating inclusive economic opportunities while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental and social considerations.
