MADITSSIA's Ideal Home exhibition kicks off

Madurai, Jun 29 (KNN)  The 29th All India Ideal Home exhibition to showcase various home items began here yesterday.

Organised by the Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA), the exhibition being held at the Tamukkam Grounds has 200 stalls in different bays, according to a media report.

While entrepreneurs from Delhi presented their wares at 24 stall, selling handbags, artificial jewellery, electronic gadgets and kitchenware, various automobile companies exhibited their latest models of cars.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Cooperation Sellur K Raju said small-scale industries would help improve the State’s economy. 

He also emphasised the importance of equipping the youth with skills to make them employable and encouraging entrepreneurship among them.
The exhibition will remain open until July-7. 

Having commenced operations in 1974, MADITSSIA has completed 31 years of service, catering to the needs of the district wide small scale industries.

It promotes growth and development of tiny and small scale industries in Madurai district.  It is today, a household name both in the industrial and domestic houses because of its preoccupation with industrial growth simulation, by arranging buyer seller interface through exhibitions and fairs, and also by effective liaising among industrial associations, industrial houses and government departments and agencies.  (KNN)
