Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry elects T.R. Kesavan as new President

Chennai, Aug 17 (KNN) Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has appointed T.R. Kesavan as its new President for 2022-24 during its recently held 186th Annual General Meeting.

Kesavan holds the position of Group President (Corporate Relations & Alliances) at TAFE Ltd., an agricultural machinery manufacturer based in Chennai and is also member of various governing council member of industrial and government association, said the statement.

He is an engineering and management professional and has over 30 years of experience in agricultural productivity, government industry interface and public private partnership.

Electing new office bearers of MCCI, Ramkumar Shankar, Managing Director, Chemplast Sanmar Ltd. has been voted into office as the Vice President for two years.

Shankar is a finance professional having vast experience in management sector.

The newly elected team met M. K. Stalin, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to discuss the future of industry development of the state.

MCCI is the oldest industry organization in Tamil Nadu and the second oldest in India.  (KNN Bureau)
