Mahamastakabhisheka Exhibition Committee urges Sitharaman to support and provide assistance to organize Intl Exhibition at Shravanabelagola

Mysuru, July 14 (KNN) The Mahamastakabhisheka Exhibition Committee of Mysuru has urged Commerce & Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to support and provide assistance in organizing Mahamastakabhisheka International Exhibition 2018 at Shravanabelagola in February 2018.

Prathap Simha, Member of Parliament along with Suresh Kumar Jain, President Mahamastakabhisheka Exhibition Committee, Vinod Bakliwal, President, Food Committee along with other officials met Sitharaman on Thursday appealing to provide all assistance and support to organize the Exhibition.

In the Memorandum, they said World famous Mahamastakabhisheka Mahosthava- 2018 of Bhagavan Bahuabli Swamy will be held during February 2018. Nearly 30 lakhs Pilgrims, Tourists, Trade & Industry members visit Shravana Belagola on this occasion.

Mahamastakabhisheka Celebration committee is in the process of organizing an International Religious, Industrial, Agricultural, Horticultural, Archeological and Heritage Exhibition including marketing domestic manufacturing products through Karnataka Exhibition Authority, a Government of Karnataka organization from February 15-28, 2018 at Shravanabelagola, Hasan District, Karnataka.

All Ministries and Departments of Government of India & Government of Karnataka will participate in this Exhibition to showcase and propagate their developmental activities.

Special focus will be given to Government of India initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, Skill India, Clean India, the Memorandum said.

Nearly 29 States, all the 30 Districts of Karnataka and few developing & developed Countries are expected to participate in this Exhibition.

In this Exhibition Yoga Training & Demo, Krushi Mela, Ahara Mela, Investors Meet, MSME convention, Farmers Convention, Udyog Mela, Short term Skill Development Training, EDP & MDP Programmes and other Religious, Social & Economic development seminars & workshops will be organized.

It is expected nearly 20 lakh people will visit this Expo, the Committee said in its memorandum highlighting that efforts are being made to extend subsidy from Union and respective State Governments for the participants from manufacturing sector under Marketing Development Assistance. 

Mahamastakabhisheka Celebration Committee also requested Sitharaman to provide handholding facilities including MDA Assistance to the participants.

The Commerce & Industry Minister assured the eligible support from her ministry after discussions with the officers concern. (KNN Bureau)
