Maharashtra MSME Sammelan scheduled for Sept 16 in Mumbai
Mumbai, Sept 5 (KNN) The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is organising a Maharashtra MSME Sammelan under the broad theme of ‘Building Competitiveness for Global Value Chains” on 16th September 2022, in Mumbai.
The primary aim of the event will be to deliberate and discuss ways to make Maharashtra MSMEs more competitive.
Over 500 MSMEs, 100 large companies, 10 Industry Associations & International Associations and export promotion councils are expected to participate in the event.
The MSME Sammelan will include exclusive thematic sessions and host many sectoral buyers, and suppliers meet to understand the global sourcing requirements and best practices in the presence of experienced stakeholders’ from across the world, including policymakers, industry representatives from companies, MSMEs, foreign missions in India, technology enablers, MSME incubation centres etc.
Maharashtra is a leading industrial state. It houses around 8 per cent of the total MSMEs of the country.
The state MSMEs provide over 80 per cent of the total employment and 27 per cent of exports from Maharashtra. Additionally, the state has registered the highest UDYAM registrations of MSMEs in India.
Key persons who will be present at the event include Narayan Tatu Rane, Minister, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, Eknath Shinde, Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra and Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra amongst others.
