Aurangabad Industrial City receives investment proposals worth Rs 421 crore
Aurangabad, Mar 2 (KNN) Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC), India's first well-planned and Greenfield Smart Industrial City on Wednesday bagged two investment proposals worth Rs 421 crore, an official said.
AURIC is being developed across an area of 10,000 acres in Maharashtra as part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
Dhoot Transmission and Kohler are the two companies that have received an approval for setting up its units in the industrial city. “They were given land allotment letters recently,” the official added.
As per reports, Diesel engine maker Kohler will invest Rs 370 crore to set up a unit in AURIC, located around 30 kilometres from Aurangabad city, where it has purchased 25 acres of land.
The Diesel engine maker will provide direct employment to over 400 people.
Another major investment is by the Dhoot Transmission who will set up a unit on 10 acres of land with an investment of Rs 51 crore.
The company will manufacture wiring harness required for automobiles at its AURIC unit and the facility will generate 300 jobs, the official pointed out. (KNN Bureau)
