Mumbai, May 16 (KNN) The Maharashtra government has decided to extend existing policies for multiple sectors till new policies are prepared, according to a report in TOI.

The state cabinet on Tuesday decided to extend the period for the Electronics, Space and Defence and Readymade Garment industry policies issued by the Industries Department.

“These policies will remain in force till new policies of the respective subjects are prepared,” an official said.

Maharashtra Electronics Policy-2016 and Incentives for Fab Projects expired on March 31, 2023. Flattened Sedimentary Industrial Complex Policy-2018 for Readymade Garment Manufacturing, Gems and Jewellery, Micro Electronics and Engineering Components also expired on February  13, 2023.

Earlier, the state had extended the existing textile policy for 2018-2023, as the new textile policy is still under consideration.  (KNN Bureau)
