Mohali, Jun 8 (KNN) Mohali Industries Association (MIA) has started a free COVID Care centre at Rain Basera which is free of cost.

''In our fight against COVID-19, Mohali Industries Association has taken another initiative to start free of cost COVID Care Centre at Rain Basera, Opposite Dara Studio, Phase VI, Mohali in association with Mehr Foundation,'' said an official statement on Tuesday.

The centre was formally inaugurated today by Balbir Singh Sidhu, Minister for Labour, Health & Family Welfare, Punjab.

Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Mayor Mohali also graced the occasion.

According to the statement, presently it’s a 20 bedded facility and can be expanded to 30 bedded.

''We shall provide free meals, free medicines, health supplements, free oxygen concentration and cylinders with round the clock free consultation from doctors,'' MIA added.

8 patients were shifted to the centre out of which 7 have been discharged after their report was negative, ‘it said.
