MIA holds coronavirus vaccination drive for industrial workers

Mohali, Apr 10 (KNN) Mohali Industries Association (MIA) in association with the District Administration SAS Nagar and the Health Department of the state government organised a vaccination drive at MIA Bhawan where 180 employees were vaccinated.

Balbir Singh Sidhu, Minister for Labour, Health & Family Welfare Punjab visited the Camp on Friday and interacted with the team.

''100 employees were vaccinated by the team of one doctor and two nurses. All employees were above 45 years of age as mandated by the government.  The team was equipped with 200 vaccines and we achieved 180 vaccinations at the close of the day,'' said Yogesh Sagar, President, MIA.

Rajeev Gupta, General Secretary, MIA informed that information about number of vaccinations along with the Aadhar number of employees has been updated on the COVID-19 government portal before administering the dose.

The Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office, Mohali coordinated with all the teams which were dispatched at various centres.

''Seeing the success of this camp, it was decided that a camp will be organised every alternate day either at MIA Bhawan or at factory premises of member units,'' a statement from MIA said.
