MIDC to establish quality certification and prototyping service centre for MSMEs in Maharashtra

Mumbai, Mar 19 (KNN) Facility centres to provide services such as quality certification of products and rapid prototyping to the MSMEs will be set up in Maharashtra, said MIDC joint CEO Ajit Patil.

“The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will tie up with the industrial clusters or institutions to set up such facilities for the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the state,” said Patil.

He announced this while attending the inaugural ceremony of the four-day industrial exhibition, organized by the Ambad Industries & Manufacturers’ Association.

The decision to set up a facility has been realised as providing electric supply and road infrastructure isn’t enough for MSMEs units, Patil said.

He pressed on Nashik being one of the major industrial cities of the state after Mumbai and Pune.

“It is emerging as a major industrial hub. The Satpur and the Ambad industrial estates of the MIDC in the city have been fully occupied and there is no land available there,” he said.  (KNN Bureau)
