MIDC to set up five new industrial estates in Nashik district

Nashik, Mar 27 (KNN) The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has decided to setup five new industrial estates in the Nashik district, reported TOI.

Nitin Gawli, MIDC regional officer, said, “Three of the five proposed industrial zones are  in Nashik, Igatpuri and Sinnar talukas near the Samruddhi Mahamarg. The remaining two are in the Nandgaon and Didori talukas of the district.”

As per reports, MIDC has already started the land acquisition process.

Currently, there are 14 MIDC estates in the district and two of them, Ambad and Satpur, are in Nashik taluka alone. 

The MIDC plans to acquire 264 hectares in Igatpuri’s Ghoti taluka, 144 hectares in Raju Bahula of Nashik taluka, 231 hectares in Maparwadi of Sinnar taluka, 269 hectares in Manmad (Nandgaon taluka) and 32 hectares in Jambutke (Dindori taluka) — totalling 940 hectares.

Nashik collector Gangatharan D said the MIDC's decision to set up more industrial estates will benefit the industries here.   (KNN Bureau)
