Minister Shahnawaz Hussain invites industry to set up units in Bihar to access NE markets

Patna, July 25 (KNN) Make Bihar the manufacturing hub to tap the markets of the Northeast states, Bihar state industry minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said on Sunday.

During a meeting with the selected industrialist in Delhi, Hussain urged the industry representatives to make Bihar their manufacturing hub as the conditions in the state are favourable for the growth of the industry sector.

Some of the key persons present at the meeting were Sunil Bansal, executive director, Liberty Group, Rakesh Grover, MD, Grover Sons Apparel, Sunil Goel, MD, ARB Bearings, Inder Dev Gupta, MD, Kumar Mangalam Birla Group, Ajay Kumar Bansal, director, Hitech Pipes, Micromax chairman Rajesh Agarwal, amongst others.

Earlier this month, the Industry minister during a meeting of apex monitoring authority under Industrial Corridor Development had also appealed to the centre to sanction a PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Park to Bihar.

Hussain, during the discussion emphasised on how the rapid developments in infrastructure for roads, electricity and good governance has made the state feasible for Industrial expansion. The state is also offering abundant land at cheaper rates to set up industries in the state.  (KNN Bureau)
