More than 5000 MSMEs gets online registration in Nashik

Nashik, Aug 16 (KNN) About 5,070 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nashik district have been registered online for Udyog Adhaar in the last 10 months, as per the media reports. The district is still only sixth in online registrations as compared to Pune, which topped with a total of 11,012 registrations so far.

After Pune, Thane and Aurangabad have secured the second and third stand with 8,527 and 7,507 registrations, respectively.

Following the  Union government, the Maharashtra Government on October 6, 2015 has made the registration online and linked to the Adhaar Card number for new MSMEs

Earlier, the MSMEs had to submit the 'Part One' Industrial Memorandum ( I M part  I )to the District Industries Centre of the state while opening a new unit and submit I M Part - II certificate after the plant went into commercial operation. The government has replaced these hassles and introduced the new online Udyog Aadhar Memorandum (UAM) registration system, as a step towards ease of  Doing Business.

In Maharashtra, a total of 97,938 MSMEs have been registered online till now, from October 6, 2015 to August 13, 2016. Pune has topped in online registrations of MSMEs with 11,012 units, while Thane (8,527) and Aurangabad (7,507) have stood second and third, respectively. Kolhapur (6,149) and Mumbai suburban (5,794) have stood fourth and fifth, respectively, while Nashik is lagged behind.

As per Government release, about 12 lakh units have been registered all over India  between  September 01, 2015 to August 13, 2016. (KNN Bureau)
