Kolhapur, June 17 (KNN) During her recent visit to Kolhapur, Minister of State (MoS) for Railways and Textiles Darshana Jardosh appealed the textile operators to participate in the upgradation scheme for which funds have been made available.

“The scheme provides funds to improve textile manufacturing by introducing advanced machinery,” she added.

She was also apprised of the challenges being faced by the textile unit operators.

The minister assured that officials from the Textile Ministry will soon look into the concerns.

She visited the Ichalkaranji Powerloom Mega Cluster on Thursday as part of her Kolhapur tour.

The minister criticised the Congress party for merely introducing schemes and not implementing them.

“The textile upgradation scheme was in place before 2014 when BJP came to power at the Centre. However, back then, the Congress government had not allocated funds,” she said. (KNN Bureau)
