Mother Dairy plans new paneer and cheese plant in Karnataka

Bangalore, April 28 (KNN) Mother Dairy, a unit of Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) today said it is planning to set up paneer and cheese plants at Yelahanka in the state capital. KMF has over 2.23 million milk producers in over 12066 Dairy Cooperative Societies at village level, functioning under 13 District Cooperative Milk Unions in Karnataka State.
 
Mother Dairy has a network of 647 retailers through whom milk is sold to the consumers. Further, it has satellite modern format joints to sell various varieties of milk and 'Nandini' brand of long shelf life and short shelf life milk products. The dairy manufactures Paneer, Yogurt as well as flavoured milk in bottles.
 
With the view to expand the business, Mother Dairy has called for suppliers to take up the project of setting up paneer and cheese plant. The project would include designing and sourcing of plant and machineries and putting the plant into operation.
