MP govt asks industries to follow rules related to single-use plastic

Bhopal, June 30 (KNN) The Madhya Pradesh government has urged the industrial sector of the state to adhere all the rules directed by the Government of India for single use plastic ban from July 1. 

To raise awareness on this issue a two-day workshop on ‘Transition to Alternatives to SUP in-line to Implementation of Plastics Waste Management in MSME Units’ was organised at CIPET  Bhopal on June 28-29.

MP, P Narahari Secretary, MSME Department, was the Chief Guest.

Expressing happiness on such workshop by CIPET, Narahari said, “The MP government has requested all the concerned industries to follow the rules directed by the Government of India for single use plastic.”

AA Mishra, Member Secretary, MPPCB Bhopal, gave necessary information regarding the restrictions on single-use plastic products to be implemented from July 1, 2022.

Various National experts shared their experiences and technical knowledge with the participants.

A technical session was also organised by CIPET for manufacturing and testing of single use plastics as per latest Guidelines.

Around 53 participants from different cities like Indore, Dewas, Pithampur, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Mandideep, Raisen, were participated in the workshop.  (KNN Bureau)
