MP govt links 13,63,000 beneficiaries under self-employment schemes in last 3 months

Bhopal, April 5 (KNN) The Madhya Pradesh government has linked 13, 63,000 beneficiaries under various self-employment schemes in three months, said Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan at the launch of 'Mukhyamantri Udyami Kranti' scheme on Tuesday.

Chouhan credited the bankers for their cooperation and the will of the government to achieve the target as it has decided to organize employment day every month since January to address livelihood and employment concerns of the people.

During launch of the scheme, CM Chouhan released the souvenir guide of 'Mukhyamantri Udyami Kranti' scheme and presented loan sanction letters to various beneficiaries. 

Appreciating the work done by Industries and MSME Department during covid-19 pandemic peak, he said that more than 650 new units have been established while investment worth Rs 40, 000 crore has been attracted creating more than 1 lakh employment opportunities. 

Speaking on the occasion, P Narahari IAS, Secretary, MSME Department said, “Cases of more than 2000 youth have been approved through banks in the last financial year under 'Mukhyamantri Udyami Kranti' scheme and applicants will not have to visit an office as all work will be done online through one portal.”

“In Madhya Pradesh, lakhs of youth have been linked with employment by celebrating Employment Day in the last three months, Mukhyamantri Udyami Kranti Yojana will rapidly change the picture of employment in the state,” said Minister for MSME, Om Prakash Sakhlecha.  (KNN Bureau)
