MP govt to expand MSME units in state though Science & Technology: Om Prakash Sakhlecha

Bhopal, Nov 2 (KNN) Madhya Pradesh's (MP) Minister for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Science & Technology Om Prakash Sakhlecha has said that small units would be expanded in the state by linking research and development of science & technology with MSME.

Reportedly, Sakhlecha said this during the round table conference held on Sunday adding ''it will also inspire the country as a model.''

He further said that priorities of industries have changed and new opportunities have emerged for MSMEs.

''The trend of China's products has decreased all over the world and this is the opportunity that gives us a message of becoming self-reliant to realize the Prime Minister’s resolution,'' he added.

Sakhlecha also informed that he has urged the state government that some part of the amount of CSR head should be spent on research and development of science, technology.

''Now technology is changing very fast and in such a situation, we can compete with the world only by research and development,'' he said.

He said that there is no dearth of talent in Madhya Pradesh, there is a need to show the right path to new entrepreneurs. He also said that hopefully in the next 6-8 months, we will fill the vacant space of China’s products with the products of Madhya Pradesh by adopting a well-planned policy in this direction.

''To meet the needs of the units, we have to work on a plan,'' he added.

National President of Vigyan Bharti, Jayant Sahastrabuddhe, Secretary, MSME Department, Vivek Porwal, D G of Science Technology Council, Madhya Pradesh Anil Kothari and subject experts were present at the Round Table Conference.
