MP govt to give 90% concession on plots to MSMEs

Bhopal, May 25 (KNN) In a bid to woo the small and medium investors to put up manufacturing base in the state, Madhya Pradesh government is offering lands to them in the industrial areas at a rebated price.
 
The government has also decided to reserve 20 per cent of the land for MSMEs in the industrial areas. The government is giving a heavy rebate of up to 90 per cent on the industrial land to the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
 
The chief minister of MP, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, had recently announced that under the Madhya Pradesh Investment Promotion Scheme 90 per cent concession will be given in prescribed rates while allotting plot up to 5,000 square feet to MSMEs, reports media.
 
Chouhan informed that a venture capital fund of Rs 100 crore has been instituted to help small entrepreneurs of start-up companies. 
 
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh government is also waiving off diversion fees for the SMEs and is leasing land at a premium of 20-60 per cent concession.
 
Similarly, other states like Rajasthan and Maharashtra have also come forward with special sops, concessions for the SMEs to encourage them set up units. (KNN Bureau)
