MP Govt to set up five clusters for furniture, toys, confectionery, food processing & pharma in Indore

Indore, Nov 30 (KNN) Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Om Prakash Saklecha has said that five new clusters for furniture, toys, confectionery, food processing and pharmaceuticals will come up in Indore for which land is being identified.
Talking to industry representatives on Saturday Saklecha said, ''to beat China as a manufacturing hub, local industries need to change their marketing pattern.''
“The work plan for developing these five clusters is ready and land is being identified. Industries should select land suiting their requirement and invest in these clusters to attain self-sufficiency in manufacturing,” he added.
The MSME Minister said also informed that Madhya Pradesh (MP) government is planning to develop around 10 clusters in the state on 650 acres that will accommodate around 450 units and generate employment for 55,000 locals adding ''These upcoming clusters will be for pharma, readymade garments, namkeen confectionery, textile, furniture, toys, food processing, plastic, and automobile and bodybuilding equipment.''
“These clusters are likely to attract investments of Rs 685 crore. MSME industries have a great role to play in ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat,'' he added.
Saklecha further said that undeveloped chunks of land will be allotted to small and medium scale industrialists to promote industries in the state.
''The policy direction for allotment of undeveloped land to industries and provisions for clusters will soon be launched by the government,'' he added.
