Indore, Dec 2 (KNN)  The Madhya Pradesh Office of Commissioner Commercial Tax (CCT) has planned various measures such as upgrading hardware of database servers and storage equipment to modernise the department.

Currently, as a part of the e-Governance initiative, MP Commercial Tax Department (MPCTD) provides its services to dealers/ taxpayers through its Web Portal and carries out day-to-day departmental activities through its VATIS Application developed by Application vendor.

Both the Web Portal as well as the VATIS Application is currently hosted at the departmental Data Centre (DC) located at CCT head office in Indore; while the Disaster Recovery (DR) maintaining the backup is situated at the State Data Centre (SDC) in Bhopal.

With the addition of newer Web Portal / VATIS Application services, the current workload on the existing DC servers is expected to rise steeply. To overcome this increase in transaction volume, a hardware upgrade in terms of database servers and SAN storage equipment is envisaged by the department.

In this regard, the Office of Commissioner Commercial Tax seeks bids for selection of a Systems Integrator (SI) for supply and implementation of additional server hardware in addition to existing hardware at MPCTD’s Data Centre in Indore.  Manufacturers of RISC servers (OEMs) or authorised partners of OEMs are eligible to apply.

The server hardware supply requirement from the System Integrator (SI) is for three (3) Database Servers and two (2) SAN storage equipment. The SI shall Supply, Install, Integrate, Carry out Tests, Commissioning of Servers, Storage, Backup Solution, other related items including Operating Systems and other software at the departmental Data Center (DC) located at CCT head office in Indore and the Disaster Recovery (DR) located at State Data Center (SDC) in Bhopal as per Technical Specifications and Requirements (Section 2.4 & 2.5) of this tender.

The SI shall work in coordination with CCT’s Application and FMS vendors during the entire implementation process, ensuring that none of hardware/ structure/ setup gets damaged during operation and commissioning of the supplied hardware.

Commissioner Commercial Tax (CCT), Madhya Pradesh is the largest revenue earning establishment of MP Government having 5 zonal offices, 16 divisional offices, 80 circle offices and 26 check posts spread over the state for administering the activities of tax collection for the Government. Under the Mission Mode Project (MMP), an e-Governance initiative has been taken towards computerization of the MP Commercial Tax Department (MPCTD).  (KNN/ES)
