MSME department to set up Aroma Garden in Bengal Districts

Kolkata, Feb 7 (KNN) The Bengal Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department is going to set up two aroma gardens –one on 4 acres at Baripur in South 24 Parganas district and other on 40 acres in Jhargram .

For the latter, the Paschimanchal Unnayan Affairs (PUA) Department will also assist the MSME Department.

The aim of setting up aroma garden is to extract oil from plants, trees and roots and experts will identify which plants to be planted in these gardens as Aroma Therapy is used in beauty treatment and also have medicinal uses to cure disease.

Lavender, rosemary and lemon grass are being planted in Baruipur. (KNN/YV)
