MSME Development Forum, West Bengal forms new team with vision to train 2,000 individuals

Kolkata, Mar 14 (KNN) The MSME Development Forum, West Bengal chapter has formed a new team and has appointed Dr. Mamta Binani as the President with an aim to create an accountable value system, provide vocational training to 2,000 individuals, placement for 1,000 people, and engage the use of technology.

Binani will look after the promotion and awareness programs that will benefit MSMEs in West Bengal and lead a team of 40 new executive team members.

"The motto of West Bengal Chapter is to give information, support, advocacy for start-ups, Women Entrepreneurs, Schedule Caste Start-ups, establish udyam by new policy developed by government," she said.

Speaking at the grand annual launching ceremony of MSME Development Forum, West Bengal, its Chairman Rajnish Goenka said, "Credit line without collateral for MSMEs is a top priority."

He also spoke about the resistance present in accepting loans from banks.

He added, "Banks are a more reliable source of credit and can't be left uninvolved in the journey of expansion."

Goenka emphasised on the major role played by MSMEs in India's vision of becoming a USD 5 trillion economy, as 6.3 crore such establishments account for 30 per cent of the nominal GDP. (KNN Bureau)
