MSME-DI holds vendor development cum exhibition program for MSMEs in Mangaluru
New Delhi, Nov 8 (KNN) Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district has lot of investment opportunities, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said While speaking at a two-day national vendor development programme cum exhibition in Mangaluru organized by Branch Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), Ministry of MSME, Mangaluru, in association with District Industries Centre, Dakshina Kannada and District Small Industries Association.
The minister said that the discussions and deliberations have been going on with the centre to set up a plastic park on a 300-acre land at Ganjimutt in Mangaluru.
Addressing the event MLA J R Lobo said that a sum of Rs. 2,500 crore has been sanctioned for various development works in Mangaluru and the priority would be given for infrastructure development.
District Industries Centre Joint Director Gokuldas Nayak said said that the event is aimed to provide opportunities to MSMEs to showcase their capabilities to the various wings of the government, establishments of railways, defence, public sector undertakings and other large-scale private enterprises who outsource from micro and small enterprises.
The event witnessed the participation of MSMEs, South Western Railways, ONGC-MRPL, KIOCL, HAL-Kasargod, NPCIL-Kaiga and banks. (KNN/AG)
