MSME industrial park soon in Dhenkanal district of Odisha

Odisha, June 4 (KNN) The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Park will soon be set up in Dhenkanal district of Odisha, said Laxmi Narayan Gupta, additional chief secretary (ACS) MSME.

He was on District Visit and reviewed developmental programs and projects being implemented in the district.

A 50 Acre patch of land has been identified for the Industrial Park.

During his visit, he pointed out several weak areas in implementation of different projects and schemes in the district.

Further, he advised the District Administration to take corrective measures in this direction.

He also sought details on issues faced during implementation of Social Sector Programs being implemented to tackle malnourished children.

Being identified as one of the 10 aspirational districts for transformation, the development programs implemented in this backward state is closely monitored by NITI Aayog.

There are large scale vacancies in Department of Health, Women & Child Development and other departments, Gupta informed.

He was also briefed about the declining sex ratio and implementation of developmental project to empower girls.

Addressing the concerns, Gupta suggested some effective strategies and use of local content, while implementing programs.

Taking lot of interest in development of Tourism Sector, ACS Gupta asked the authorities to improve road condition and electrification of Saptasajya which holds immense potential as a major Tourist Destination.

He also addressed the MSME entrepreneurs engaged in Industrialization and industries’ challenges and opportunities were discussed at length.
