Chandigarh, Dec 28 (KNN) The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is reported to have given its nod for the Haryana Government’s 11 project proposals for up gradation and augmentation of industrial infrastructure in the state.

The project proposals involving investment of Rs 80 crore include upgradation of Industrial Development (ID) Centre at Bahadurgarh, Karnal, Kundli, Panipat, Rewari, industrial estate at Rai, Industrial Development Colony at Karnal and Rohtak, according to a media report.

They proposal was submitted by the Haryana State Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) and the Department of Industries.

"These project proposals would involve investments in excess of Rs 80 crore, out of which Industrial Development (ID) projects will involve investments in excess of Rs 50 crore and nearly half of the project cost will be borne by the Ministry of MSME, and remaining by the state government/HSIIDC and allottees," an official spokesman was quoted as saying in a media report.

Recognising that a cluster approach is most suitable for provision of institutional support for the MSME sector, the state government has decided to establish various clusters in partnership with the industry and financial support from the central government, he said.

These clusters would meet the requirements of common facilities - product development, economising of production costs, quality marking, lab testing, effluent treatment, and other such facilities, he added. (KNN Bureau)
